What We Do
Queens Borough Rotary gives back to the Queens community in many ways:
- Donates $3500 annually to the LIC YMCA Strong Kids Fund
- Provides holiday magic at our annual party luncheon for 50 children where Santa brings gifts for all. Our 2010 party can be seen through the following YouTube link:
- Recognized a Patrol Person from the 114 Police Precinct for the officer’s commitment to the community
- Provided Thanksgiving turkeys to 60 families
- Funded a Shopping Spree for winter clothes for 2 needy families
- Honors 6 graduating students from local high school’s annually with a $300 Scholarship Award
- Provide funds to the Salvation Army summer camp program for children
- Donates to Rotary’s “Gift of Life” program, which helps needy children obtain life-saving heart surgery
